A few things people usually ask
Practical answers about how therapy works, where I practice, fees, and the ketamine and psychedelic work some clients explore.
-
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
+Most people reach out because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or caught in patterns they don't fully understand. You don't need to have it all figured out first. Curiosity is enough.
-
Do you offer online therapy across Texas?
+Yes. I see clients in person in South Austin and online for anyone located in Texas. Many people mix the two, meeting in person when it's easy and virtually when life gets busy.
-
Where are you located?
+My practice is in South Austin, near Radio South, and I also work virtually with clients throughout Texas. If you'd like directions before a first in-person session, just ask when we book.
-
What can I expect from our first session?
+It's a chance to get to know each other, talk about what brings you in, and start exploring your goals. There's no pressure to tell your whole story at once. Those early sessions also help us feel out how we work together.
-
How do I know if we're a good fit?
+A free consultation call is a helpful first step to share what you're looking for and get a sense of my approach. The first few sessions tell us even more. Therapy is a relationship, and finding the right fit matters.
-
Do I have to be interested in ketamine or psychedelic work to work with you?
+Not at all. Many clients work with me through traditional talk therapy alone. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and integration are simply options for the people they fit.
-
Who can do ketamine-assisted psychotherapy with you?
+Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is available only to established clients I've already been working with in traditional therapy. That's a deliberate clinical standard: the preparation, trust, and integration that make this work meaningful take time to build. It isn't something we start at a first appointment.
-
Do you take insurance?
+I'm an out-of-network provider, so I don't bill insurance directly. Sessions are $175 for 50 minutes, and I provide superbills (detailed receipts) you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. A few sliding-scale spots open up when available, so reach out if cost is a concern.
